UPDATE: Unfortunately, it looks like Wendy has deleted her LJ before her stated deadline of October 1. I was unable to save everything from her journal, so what I have here is all I've got. If you have any videos I don't have listed here, please let me know!

For those who may or may not know, Newshfan subbed a large amount of clips of varying Johnny's groups. When I was new to the JE fandom, I somehow found my way to her subbed clips, and I've enjoyed watching everything she shared. It's very unfortunate that she has decided to stop all subbing.

I know I'm not alone in feeling this way, and I'd like other fans, old and new, to continue enjoying these clips. This is where I want to keep them alive for future fans.

I WILL delete double posts and fix broken links (If I still have the video file..). I WILL also add any clips not archived here.

As for what I WON'T do, I'll find out in due time..

I am not the one subbing these! I don't take credit for any of these subbed videos. All videos were subbed by NEWShFAN!

All I ask is that whatever previous message was tacked onto the video be respected-- NEWShFAN closed down her journal because of rule-breakers, so I don't think any more harm can be done now. See, streamers? You ruin the fun for everyone. =P

Re-upping

Helloo everyone! It's been a very long while. ^^; I was in the process of moving files off my computer for a format since it's been very slow, and I noticed I had some video files I thought I'd check the links for before deleting them.

Aaand, that's how I realized that there have been a lot of requests for reuploads of dead links. I will try to do that with what I have, but I don't have everything. I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, if you have reuploaded a few files yourself, please let me know!

Thanks everyone, and I'm sorry you've had to deal with dead links all this time. ^^;

I'm receiving a ton of help from many of you. Thank you. ^^; I'm doing my best to get through the files I've been sent, but I don't know how much time I can spend on it. I'll do what I can. Thank you so much. I'm glad to see so many people who appreciate Newshfan's subs!

I'm currently plodding through and adding everything under the "full episode" tag. In terms of saved pages and tags, I'm good for now, thank you everyone. I'll ask for what I'm missing after wards. XD For now, save what you want and prepare to backup your links to Megaupload/Mediafire/etc.

Highlights: They play a true-false quiz where they have to dive through gates according to their answers and end up in a plie of flour if they get it incorrect. Shige fails beautifully in this episode. Firstly they more or less cut his part of the game, then later he goes into the audience to ask questions, but manages to laugh stupidly *hee hee hee* and then insult one girl (and when he tries to make up for that, he manages to sound even stupider!) The NEWS members (or K.K.Kity as they were known at this time) sing a medley of cool old Johnnys songs. In the talk segment, Kusano tries to say he'll cut a dumpling into 4 parts, but even the audience knows that he's lying! Meanwhile, Koyama gets worked up about the bad side of Japanese peoples' personalities.

There is a funny MC talk section at the end of this part where they have to answer questions about JUMP (which apparently stands for Jet Ultra Metal Pistachio) and then Takaki acts like a deliquent and Chinen tries to kiss him to stop him using bad language. These kids are all so adorably innocent!

Highlights: There's a beautiful little ballad part with Yabu & Hikaru playing guitars. I don't care what the official line is about HSJ not having a leader - it's so obvious Yabu is their leader! And he does a great job at it too (which is maybe why they don't want to call him the leader. Most Johnny's "leaders" are useless!)

Let's learn to use softsubs (for now because it makes life so much easier for me than having to spend hours making the hardsubbed versions!)
Tutorial on using Aegisub (.ass) softsubs:
1. Basically you need to download VobSub from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/subtitle_tools/vobsub.cfm
or the CCP Codec Pack http://www.cccp-project.net/
or the K-lite Codec Pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
2. Make sure your raw file & the softsubs have the same name
eg. HSJhasmorethan1song.avi (is your "raw" file - the video file) + HSJhasmorethan1song.ass (softsub file)
3. The subtitles should then show up automatically when you play the video
4. Note: If you're using a Mac, 1) download VLC, or 2) download Perian to use with Quicktime (although the Perian thingy may not work with the type of subtitles I release). Thanks to jackoweskla for the Mac tips

It was too hot for any of the members to run around or change hiding places much. They basically all just found hiding places and stayed there and sweated till the end.

Highlights: There's a brief glimpse of HSJ & some Juniors in the audience. Then there's lovely KimuTaku papa with a kid on his shoulders and lovely big brother KimuTaku as he hoists HSJ onto his moving platform. As you can tell, I got bored of translating all the thank you's & bye-byes, so if they say something you don't understand, chances are that it's just some variation of "thanks." By the way, can I ask why there were 16 people in charge of "balloons" in the credits?! Did they all have to sit around & blow into them to blow them up or something!?

I'd hoped to release this at the end of last month, but hardsubbing it took forever, so it ended up taking a week longer than I expected. But here it is! And it is SO SO SO SO much better than the sucky KinKi concert I half-subbed a few weeks back. This is what a concert should really be like in my opinion! It's truly entertaining!
I haven't subbed the 3rd disc with the talk parts because I'm lazy and have never even bothered to watch that disc yet myself either! I flicked through it when I first got it, but it looked a bit dull... and I don't particularly like concert MC talk parts so the only times I ever watch them is if I'm subbing them!
