Shige fails beautifully in this episode. Firstly they more or less cut his part of the game, then later he goes into the audience to ask questions, but manages to laugh stupidly *hee hee hee* and then insult one girl (and when he tries to make up for that, he manages to sound even stupider!) The NEWS members (or K.K.Kity as they were known at this time) sing a medley of cool old Johnnys songs. In the talk segment, Kusano tries to say he'll cut a dumpling into 4 parts, but even the audience knows that he's lying! Meanwhile, Koyama gets worked up about the bad side of Japanese peoples' personalities.

These kids are all so adorably innocent!

Tutorial on using Aegisub (.ass) softsubs:
1. Basically you need to download VobSub from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/subtitle_tools/vobsub.cfm
or the CCP Codec Pack http://www.cccp-project.net/
or the K-lite Codec Pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
2. Make sure your raw file & the softsubs have the same name
eg. HSJhasmorethan1song.avi (is your "raw" file - the video file) + HSJhasmorethan1song.ass (softsub file)
3. The subtitles should then show up automatically when you play the video
4. Note: If you're using a Mac, 1) download VLC, or 2) download Perian to use with Quicktime (although the Perian thingy may not work with the type of subtitles I release). Thanks to jackoweskla for the Mac tips

Personally I also found it interesting that they mentioned Uchi's connection with NEWS but not with Kanjani8 and the fact that he had very little stage time compared to anyone else.

I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while...! *Eek, sorry Kame!* And now let me say what I really thought of Kame's performance: It was very "adventurous" and would have been great if he hadn't had that distracting lipstick smear across his cheek/chin and and hadn't done that random Wizard of Oz impersonation of "let's throw buckets of water on the Wicked Witch of the West" or whatever he was going for at the end...! Now, if he'd melted into a puddle of goo like the real Wicked Witch of the West, then I would've been impressed...! Ha ha~)

Highlights: Ueda looks and sounds like an angel and is so proud of himself for being able to play the keyboard! Nakamaru & Jin's solos also involved some great singing & dancing (and no random Wizard of Oz impersonations either!) so it seems that I should've stuck with my usual way of watching the ending of concerts first, because I loved this disc whereas the first disc made me wonder if maybe I'd outgrown KAT-TUN - or if maybe they'd outgrown me...!

Highlights: I love how honest Nakamaru, Koki, Ueda and Taguchi are. I also find it a pity that there is a total lack of "member ai" with the entire documentary being about the 6 individuals and not them as a group.

Question? perform a couple of great songs, Yabu gets a sexy song to sing (even though he has the sex appeal of a goldfish!) and A.B.C. have a new song that sounds nice but has a rather forgettable dance (considering they are usually the best dancers in the Jrs.) The show ends with HSJ going for the world record of number of people on stage at one time - as if they didn't already have enough members in their group, they also had a billion Jr backdancers and even the audience up on the stage too!

Highlights: Maybe I'm biased, but NEWS & Ya-Ya-yah totally rocked their songs in this episode. I love NEWS "Mafuyu no Nagareboshi" song! In a totally unrelated point, JE boys should be banned from singing songs with English lyrics in them (both Kusano & Ryo's solo songs had random English in them.) We get to see Kusano do a backflip (and almost not quite flip over far enough...), hear Koyama's mighty important aim for the new year which involves pudding (!?) and get to see how excited Yamapi seems when Kusano's around. Shige complains about Tegoshi not giving him enough respect (which Tegoshi half-heartedly says is not true) and Ryo yells at the Jrs for not using enough glue >.<
