Actually does anyone know what Tsubasa is up to these days? I used to see him around sometimes because he seems to shop at the same bread shop as I do, but I haven't seen him in the last few months, so either he's switched to eating rice instead or maybe he's actually busy working on something???

Then later he seems to confuse his flamenco dancing with doing a strip tease dance...?!

Arashi suck at being nice to their juniors, as apart from MatsuJun, they pretty much failed to help answer the Jrs questions. Tsubasa also appears and ends up only singing 4 lines of a song, despite being on stage forever...!

Anyhow, Yamapi, Tegoshi & Massu dancing like fishies in the medley at the end is adorable! And so is Tegoshi laughing at Yamapi messing up the rhthym when it's his turn to sing.

Also it must have been a New Years miracle to see Tackey and Tsubasa on the same stage together! And I can't help but wonder if the lack of an appearance by that Nakayama And His Backdancers group meant that they are no longer really considered a properly debuted group. And I know I'm going to get in trouble for writing this, but it always amuses me how Kanjani8 is usually left out of Johnnys get-togethers. I wonder if they were deliberately made to be miles away so that none of the older Johnny had to give them any New Years money! That's my conspiracy theory at any rate!

Highlights: Arashi's Sakurai seems much better at sports things at this age than what he pretends to be these days. TOKIO battle it out for the title of No.1 Speedster in Johnnys (although Yamapi also tries hard). KinKi are involved in a random flag finding, clue solving orienteering, 3-legged race contest (!?) with Sakurai & Matsuoka. And many Johnnys fail at having good balance during a huge sponge dominoes crossing contest.

Highlights: I think this part is the best of the 3 parts of this year's Sports Day. I like to think of this as being the "B" clip. There's baseball, basketball, beach flags, backstage and the best scenes shown again. I thought it was cute that Yamapi was chosen as the #1 gentleman in Johnnys (and that Tsuyoshi thinks Yamapi has a perky butt!) Then there was HaseJun who was the complete opposite! The white team counting loudly to mess up Okada's attempts at estimating 10 seconds was pretty funny too. Kamenashi really was incredible during the baseball and it ended up being a really exciting match to watch near the end! Can I also give a special mention to the shot of Toma wiggling his butt as he led the crowd in the cheering for the baseball game?
